I received a Bachelor of Arts in Speech Pathology with minors in education and psychology from Augustana College, and a Master of Science from Eastern Illinois University, Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology. On the music side of my career, I have been fortunate to have studied music (primarily flute and piano) under some of the most accomplished musicians and music educators in the Midwest, and internationally. I have trained with musicians of the St. Paul Symphony (MN), Memphis Symphony (TN), Winnipeg Symphony (Canada), St. Louis Symphony (MO), and Vienna Philharmonic (Austria). I have been sharing my love of music by teaching flute, piano and voice to children and adults for over 25 years.
"Musical training is a more potent instrument than any other, because rhythm
and harmony find their way into the inward places of the soul, on which they
mightily fasten, imparting grace." - Plato
