Musical Background
I have been fortunate to study with outstanding flutists since I was a child. My first teacher was the principal flutist with the St. Paul Minnesota Chamber Orchestra.
In junior high I studied with the principal flutist of the Winnipeg Ontario symphony. In high school I studied with Jervis Underwood at Southern Illinois University, who
was the principal flutist for the Memphis Tennessee Symphony. I had lessons throughout my college career at Augustana
College. During my residence in St. Louis, I studied with Jan Gippo, piccoloist of the St Louis Symphony. My most recent collaboration was with Ulrike Anton of the
Vienna Austria Philharmonic.
